Thoughts from the Mount of Olives
No matter which way you look at it, whether it comes suddenly or over a prolonged period of time, death is the ultimate reality. With the recent passing of her father, Cathe sits down to share her thoughts on mortality and why we must consider our lives, and this earthly life, from a different perspective.

Wow, what a more special place to speak about eternity and death, my son will be gone 12 yrs this August 22, and I have been thinking about heaven more and more, but during Scott’s funeral service, I remembered something that a previous pastor spoke on about if you were in Jesus place could you sacrifice your son the way he sacrificed his son, and in the middle of the funeral I started crying because I thought Scott‘s passing was my fault, but it was God preparing me for what was to come. I miss him every day , But I can’t wait to see him in heaven thank you for this beautiful message it was very beautiful. Love you lots Janet

Beautifully stated. No one knows the day or time when the Lord will call us home. Live every second of every day to the fullest honoring and praising God.

Thank you Cathe for sharing these beautiful thoughts. Through recent deaths I’ve experienced, it was a comfort to listen. It saddens me to know people who have died to themselves, not in being saved, but in being a shadow of their former selves.. denying God’s restorative power, or just not wanting it.

Cathe, I'm so sorry about your dad. Sounds like he left a godly legacy. I lost my daddy in 1985 when he was 86 years old. So glad we will get to see all those that have gone before us again some day. May God hold you tight during the coming days and give you His peace that passes all understanding. Hug!

Thank you for reminding me of the heavenly perspective. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in activities and neglect the people that matter most. Jesus, knowing time is short, focused on people and what was most important. I needed to hear this today!

Lovely message. I just went on the Harvest 2019 tour to Israel. It was unbelievable, breathtaking, chilling and such a thrill to be there. Greg always had wonderful and timely messages on this tour. It was a trip of a lifetime for me and will never ever forget. I know you are grieving but thank you for reminding me to think of eternity ... you are so correct in your thoughts, thanks for sharing.
