stuffed dates
These are SO good! Sweet, salty, and very easy to throw together. Everyone loves these and they are so much easier than their bacon-wrapped counterparts. Prepare ahead of time and bake right before serving.
Ingredients
12 dates, pitted
½ log goat cheese (I like to use the honey flavored)
1 pkg. prosciutto (about 6 pieces)
Honey, for drizzling
Thyme and Rosemary, for garnish
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°
- Fill pitted dates with 1-2 teaspoons of softened goat cheese.
- Cut each piece of prosciutto in half, lengthwise, so you have 12 strips of prosciutto. Wrap each stuffed date with one prosciutto strip; it will wrap around several times.
- Place stuffed, wrapped dates on a foil lined baking sheet; bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Transfer the warmed dates to a platter, drizzle with honey, and serve right away. Garnish with chopped rosemary and thyme for added flavor.
