fresh caesar salad dressing and croutons
This dressing recipe is super easy and tastes gourmet. The croutons are simple and a hit to any salad.
Caesar Salad Dressing
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1 egg white
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
2 inch anchovy paste or 2 fillets
1 tablespoon minced garlic (3-4 cloves)
1 cup parmesan cheese
Mix all together in a blender for 2 minutes. Chill for 1 hour before serving. Saves for two weeks in refrigerator.
1 loaf of sourdough bread
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
1 cup parmesan, finely grated
1/2 cup olive oil
Cut bread into cubes and place in large ziplock bag. Add all other ingredients into bag and toss. Spread onto cookie sheet and toast at 250 degrees for 1-2 hours. Let cool, then place in storage container. Keeps for about one month.
