Fall Pumpkin Centerpiece
This simple organic centerpiece just takes minutes to put together, yet makes a big statement! In other seasons, you can switch out the pumpkin for a winter gourd or summer squash.
Things needed:
- Your vase (I used a sugar pumpkin)
- A sharp knife
- Large spoon
- Fresh flowers or berries on a stem
The how-to:
- Start by cutting the top off your pumpkin (or other natural vase). Just a simple straight cut horizontally across the top will do!
- Then take your spoon and hollow out the insides to leave it as clean as possible, free from the seeds and other strings of innards.
- Now take your fresh flowers and cut them to the desired length, just taller than your vase. I chose to wrap mine in brown paper before putting them in but you can also easily band or tie them together to keep the tight shape you desire.
- Place the flowers in your new centerpiece and enjoy!
