My husband and I are always looking to create healthy, gluten-free, low sugar appetizer ideas to take to events and get togethers. These little Caprese bites are quick, easy and one of our all-time favorites!

Ingredients

Mini heirloom tomatoes, organic, multi-colored (or use organic cherry tomatoes)

Fresh organic basil (amount depends on how many you are making)

Fresh mozzarella balls, small

Balsamic Glaze, homemade or purchased (I get mine from Trader Joe’s)

Instructions

  1. Tear basil leaves into small pieces, proportionate to tomatoes and mozzarella balls.
  2. Use a toothpick to stack the tomato, basil leaf, and mozzarella together.
  3. Make as many Caprese bites as you desire; plate them and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  4. Refrigerate until serving. Enjoy!
