Here’s a great craft for dads (or grandpas) that the kids can be involved in too.
This year I thought a terrarium would be a great, inexpensive way to show our love to Papa Greg for Fathers Day. So Stella and I set to work. We found a wide mouth, glass bowl and a few small rocks from outside. We put the rocks on the bottom of the bowl for drainage, added a small amount of potting soil and then transplanted a small succulent (available at any local nursery) to it’s cool new “home.”

Here’s where the personal touch comes in—we found a stick outside and glued a picture of Stella with a nice message on it for Fathers Day. Now if Papa takes care of this little gift by giving it a small amount of water about once a week and direct sun during the day, it will last a long time!

Materials you’ll need:
A small succulent or other hearty plant
Glass bowl
A few small rocks
Small amount of potting soil
Photo or message
