Super Simple Pink Grapefruit Sorbet
Super Simple Pink Grapefruit Sorbet
Here’s a cold, refreshing, natural dessert. Low in sugar and only two ingredients! What could be easier and more natural than that?
I had four or five grapefruits in my refrigerator one day and thought I’d juice them and make a fresh sorbet. I have an old electric juicer that works for citrus and I quickly had 4 cups of juice. I strained it to remove the pulp and seeds that may have slipped through and made a simple syrup using a cup of the juice with 1/3 cup of sugar on the stove top. Adding that back into the unsweetened juice, I added the mixture to my ice cream machine. If you don’t have a machine, you can just freeze the liquid and stir it every 20 minutes or so until it is the right consistency.
This dessert is so great on a warm summer day! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
