Simple Mint Julep
Simple Mint Julep
In our home, we love a summertime barbeque! Just as important as the food is what you are sipping on while you eat. This drink is always a hit at our parties and get-togethers. Both kids and adults can’t get enough. And it’s so simple to make—just a few ingredients, and you will have a new “go to” drink for all your gatherings!
What you will need:
- 3 cups of lemonade (homemade is great, but it has to be measured out to 3 cups)
- 1 quart ginger ale
- 4–5 mint leaves
What to Do:
- Pour lemonade in a large bowl. Add the mint leaves. Let set in the fridge for at least an hour, but a few hours is best. If you are having a dinner gathering, put the lemonade and mint in the fridge in the morning, so it sets all day.
- Strain out the mint leaves. In a decanter or pitcher, combine the lemonade and ginger ale together.
- Serve cold, and cut up extra mint leaves to garnish the cups.
