Simple Cake Banner
Cake decorating can be really time-consuming. These quick and easy banners can turn a simple iced cake or homemade pie into something very beautiful and personal. They take only a few minutes, and can be used from extra buttons and papers you have around the house. Such a fun way to express your creativity on your baked goods!
You will need:
- Striped paper straws
- Thin wire (found in the floral section at your local craft store)
- Scrapbooking paper, or any other kind of paper you choose
- Buttons, rhinestones, paper flowers, etc.
- Letter stamps, or printed letters
- Decide what you want your banner to say. Then cut out a small triangle for each letter of the word, from your paper.
- Now lay out your triangles spaced apart the way you want them. Cut your wire the length of the word, but add about 2–3 inches on each side.
- Grab one straw, and wrap your wire tightly around it, about 3 times. Repeat with the other straw.
- Using a hot-glue gun, glue your triangles to the wire.
- Now decorate it how you like, with buttons, flowers, or rhinestones. Or keep it plain; either way is really adorable!

This is such a cute idea and of course it's coming from Jeanine Hardgrave! I saw the name Chloe and realized the connection.
