Super easy to make and incredibly delicious. If you want to feed a small crowd, these sausage breakfast sliders fit the bill! Perfect for family gatherings, potlucks, game day and tailgate parties. Serve with melted maple butter for dipping and watch them disappear!

Ingredients

8 eggs, scrambled

2 tbsp butter

12 breakfast turkey sausage patties

1 pkg. Hawaiian sweet rolls

6 slices cheddar cheese

6 slices Havarti cheese

Salt + Pepper to taste

For dipping sauce:

½ cup melted butter

½ cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

Heat oven to 350°

  1. Make the dipping sauce by melting butter in a saucepan, add maple syrup and stir well. Set it aside to keep warm while you prepare sliders.

  1. In a skillet, prepare sausage according to package directions. Some brands of turkey sausage are fully cooked so all you need to do is heat them through.

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk cracked eggs together with salt + pepper for 30-60 seconds. Add 2 tbsp butter to a heated skillet and scramble the eggs, just until done. Do not overcook, since they will cook a little longer while in the oven.

  1. Use a long knife to slice through all of the rolls at the same time, so there is a top and bottom. Put the bottom half in a 9×13 baking dish.

  1. Lay 6 Havarti cheese slices on the rolls. Spread scrambled eggs on top. Next, layer the sausage patties on top of the eggs. Layer the sausage patties with cheddar cheese slices and put on the top part of the rolls. Brush the top generously with some of the dipping sauce. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese has melted. Tip: Place the sliders on the middle rack in your oven; lay a piece of foil (same size as baking dish) on the top rack to protect the rolls from getting overdone while the cheese melts.

  1. Remove from oven and use a sharp knife to slice into 12 individual servings. Serve with warm dipping sauce.

Tip: If you want to make these ahead of time, follow the same steps but don’t brush them with the maple butter. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate until you’re ready to warm them in the oven. Since the sliders are going from refrigerator to oven, they may need a few extra minutes to bake.
