Hosting friends during the winter season is one of my favorite things to do. Cold weather outside, a Christmas movie on the tv and logs burning in the fireplace … the only thing missing? Something warm to sip on! Spice up your winter gatherings with a hot cocoa bar, modifiable for how you like it! Spruce up a corner of the kitchen or wherever you want to make this a fun activity for friends.

 

Materials and Supplies

3 large mason jars with sealed lids

1 crate or deep-sided tray, any size you prefer

2-4 mugs

Spoons/Stirring sticks (optional)

Signs/Decorations, your choice

Hot Cocoa Powder

Mini Marshmallows, plain or mint flavored

Candy Canes

 

Steps
  • Fill mason jars, one each with cocoa powder, candy canes, and marshmallows
  • Arrange the crate or tray standing up sideways.
  • Stack mugs on top
  • Place mason jars inside the crate
  • Add any decorations you like
