Peanut Butter Fudge Bars
These delicious peanut butter fudge bars are chewy, moist, and rich. They are super easy to make, and they absolutely melt in your mouth! They’re perfect for parties, potlucks, and dessert.
I will often cut them up, bag them individually, put a bow on them, and give them away as party favors. No matter what you do with them, they are sure to be a hit!
Ingredients:
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 1 cup of smooth organic or all natural peanut butter (the kind you have to stir)
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 3 teaspoons of vanilla
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 ounces) of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Grease the bottom of a 13" x 9" baking pan.
- Combine cake mix, peanut butter, melted butter, eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute.
- Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Your batter should be mixed completely, very thick but smooth.
- Reserve 1 1/2 cups for the topping, and transfer the remaining batter into the greased baking pan. Using your fingers, press the batter down on the bottom of the pan until it is spread out evenly across the bottom.
- Put the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and 2 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan. Stir and cook the mixture on low heat until it is combined and smooth, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add 2 teaspoons of vanilla, stirring until blended.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cake batter and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Using your fingers, sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cups of reserved cake batter over the top of the chocolate mixture.
- Bake until the bars are light brown, approximately 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

I tried this recipe on some friends last weekend after church - what a treat! The bars are easy to make and a big hit among dessert lovers! One batch goes a long way because they are so very rich. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

My six year old saw the photo and said, "They're beautiful"! So I had to make them. (Our family's obsession with peanut butter and chocolate had nothing to do with it). He helped me. It was super easy. (I just wish I'd used the paddle instead of the whisk.) We ate them while they were still warm and my boys said that they were "too good". Thanks for sharing, Jeanine!
