Pastor Greg’s Favorite Homemade Granola
Greg’s Favorite Homemade Granola
Serve over Greek-style yogurt and fresh fruit for a delicious, filling, nutritious breakfast or snack. Try it over ice cream for dessert. Eat it plain as a snack all day long. Simple, fresh, and delicious for breakfast, snack, or dessert!
Dry Ingredients:
- 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup raw pecans, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup raw almonds, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Wet Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup canola or other non-flavored oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (you can do all honey if you don’t have maple)
Dried Fruit:
- 1/2cup chopped apricots
- 1/2cup golden raisins
- 1/2cup dried cranberries
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line cookie sheet with parchment paper (not waxed!).
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well. Spread the mixture in a thin layer on your prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Allow to fully cool before adding the dried fruit so the granola has clusters.
- Once cooled, put it into a large bowl and add the dried fruit. Mix gently.
- Adjust any of these ingredients to taste. Store in a sealed container in a cool location such as a refrigerator.

I'm putting it in my recipe box now and will make it this weekend. I know it will taste great since it's posted on the website, and Pastor Greg wouldn't lead us astray.
