Here is a modern way to revamp some plain pots! This just screams summer to me in neon orange, but would look just as awesome in a light blue or mint green or any of your favorite colors.

What you’ll need:

  • Pots (any size, plain in color)
  • Spray paint
  • Painter’s tape

How to get the look:

  1. Clean the outside of your pots well so that the spray paint will adhere evenly.
  2. Using short strips, place your painter’s tape around the middle of the pot, creating a circle of tape all the way around. I placed mine approximately 1/3 of the way from the bottom, but whatever you like works. I emphasize short strips of tape to keep the line you will be creating around the pot even. Since the diameter of most pots is greater at the top than at the bottom, the tape will not go around the pot smoothly if it’s all in one strip!
  3. Now bust out your spray paint and color the bottom portion (the part that falls below the painters tape only!) with color.
  4. Once dry, remove the tape and you shall have a nice crisp line, and the bottom of your pot will be a brand new color, giving it a fresh modern twist!
