mini granite pots
This DIY is so simple, just a few steps that transform PVC pipe into cute little faux granite planters. These would make great hostess gifts or cluster a few together by a kitchen window!
Materials
PVC 3-inch pipe sockets
Spray Paint (Granite or Stone Effect) I used a dark and light granite
Drop cloth to protect your work surface
Painter’s Tape (optional)
Succulents (most hardware stores sell 3-inch plants which fit perfectly)
Instructions
- Prepare a work surface outside, using a drop cloth (a flattened box will do).
- For a two-tone look, tape off the top half of the pipe socket; spray the bottom half with dark granite; let it dry. Remove tape and spray light granite over the whole socket.
- Holding the can further away from the socket while you spray will achieve a better texture. Allow to dry completely between coats. I applied two coats.
- Fill each one with your choice of plants. If not using succulents, drill a hole in the bottom for drainage.
