Here’s a really fun craft you can do together and make a party of it! We did this for Valentine’s Day and the girls loved it. So fun and so easy, it’s a great activity for holidays, birthdays, sleepovers, or any time!

Materials + Tools

Lip balm or lip gloss (in a plastic tube)

10 mm jump rings

Keychain hooks

Charms, your choice

Beads

0.8mm stretchy thread

Big sewing needle or thumb tack

Pliers

 

 

Instructions
  1. Make a hole in the lip balm. Use a big needle or thumb tack to carefully make a small hole in the top corner of the lip balm. Make sure it’s not too close to the edge!

 

  1. Add the jump ring. Insert the jump ring through the hole. Add the keychain hook to the jump ring.

 

 

  1. Add charms. Pick out some cute charms and slide them onto the jump ring. If you like, you can make a small, beaded chain for extra decoration.

 

  1. To make a beaded chain: Cut a piece of stretchy thread and tie a knot at one end. Slide beads onto the thread, making sure it’s not too long. Tie a knot to finish the chain.

 

 

  1. Attach the beaded chain and keychain hook. If you made a beaded chain, slide it onto the jump ring along with the keychain hook. Use pliers to squeeze the jump ring closed so everything stays in place. All done! Now you have a cute keychain you can hang on your bag or keys! Make more and change the charms whenever you want!
