Our discussion question for this lesson is the Touchpoint from page 7 of the deductive lesson:
As you learn more about the kind of relationship God desires you to have with Him, how
does this knowledge affect your perspective?

Thank you so much for this. It made me laugh, it made me cry, but most of all it made me want to know God more. :)

"Enjoy the Journey". Just what I needed to hear from the Lord right here now. Thank you, Jesus! Amen.

I enjoyed this so much, still I am going to go over it again and go on to the next Lesson. Through all my past trials and tribulations, God has always been there and even more today. Why is He here, and especially now? I believe it is because I want Him here more than anything. He makes my messes seem like a day at the candy store. He gives me so much comfort and peace. I pray that I am making Him happy.

It's been a long time since I've dipped into your churches inductive study. I LOVE all the new options and the video is a little kiss from God to me.
I saw Jean McClure, at a Women's Retreat, the weekend before I left my family, to follow and find God's will for my life, to serve God, and shelter my son. I was a single mom of a 7 year old and we were leaving Plano, TX and ended up 4 months later in Butler, PA, 1250 miles away.
At that retreat, Jean said something that really got my attention. (I call them Godsmacks) She was telling a story about her child, a son, she was faced with having to "Let go" of and how she reconciled it, was to put God, on task.
If I remember this right... she said "God, your Word, tells me that, I have to ‘let my son go’ because he is yours. So, you better take care of him! I'm holding you to this."
My 7 yr old was high maintenance. He rarely does what I tell him. He was my joyful challenge, who I call, Divine Intervention, in my life. After I got over the shock that (someday) I was going to have to "let go" of my kiddo, I was like, ok, I can do that. I can hold God to task because He's everything “omni-“ (adj.). Stronger than, me and my will, stronger than, my son and son’s will; Jesus take the wheel! Jean McClure and I are VERY different people but we are both God’s children and if she can be so bold as to hold God to HIS promises, then so can I.
NOTHING, went like, I thought it would. It was even better and even worse than I could have ever imagined.
10-12 years later -on July 1st, I wrote a letter, to my son, who has been in juvenile state placement, for years, letting him go. (He’s going to be 20 this year) The toughest thing I have ever done and by far, the saddest.
Seeing Jean today, on video, was REALLY cool. Thank you, thank you, thank you, all, for choosing Christ. Go to God, in Jesus, just as you are and don’t be afraid, to be, who you are.
We are children in Christ. God knows your story, Jesus is writing it. Webeloved.
