Jewelry Tree How-To
I have a beautiful jewelry tree that sits on my bathroom counter and it is commented on so frequently, I thought I’d let you in on the secret to making it! I often make one for friends as a birthday or housewarming gift, or just because, since it is very simple to do and makes a big statement.
Here’s what I use:
- Tree branch (I used Manzanita for this one, but have since found stray branches on the ground and used those as well!)
- Container such as a box or pot
- Rocks or stones
- Hot glue
- Spray paint if you desire to stray from the natural look
The how-to:
- I like to spray my branch a fun color but you can always leave it natural and spray the pot instead—or better yet, get to painting both! This is really up to you and the look you are trying to achieve.
- Next, I hot glue the thickest branch to the bottom of the pot. Hold this in place carefully for a few minutes to make sure the glue sets. Also, be liberal with your hot glue!
- Fill the remaining space in the pot with rocks or stones! These can be found in nature or purchased from a craft store. The goal is to secure the branch in the pot so it does not shift when weighted with jewelry.
Now display your newly made jewelry tree with your favorite baubles and enjoy!

This is creatively done; however, what prevents dust from settling on the jewelry.

I just try to wear my jewelry often in rotation so it doesnt seem to collect dust... But if it did I would probably just try brushing it gently with a duster :-)

Wow! So pretty! I have a jewelry armoire, but I never see it to grab easily. You know the saying out of sight out of mind! But displaying our jewelry makes it so accessible and shows off as a great display. Wonderful, wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing Brittany

Is this my Misty Paarl Valley Portland.. I just had to ask. I just had a HUGE branch unassumingly fall off our front tree, but I gave it away. I will do it with the next one that falls off.

Thanks for this great idea. Just did this today for our bible study retreat. We used plaster of paris and used glass stones on top. The ladies all love them.
