friendsgiving favors
Add a festive touch to your holiday gatherings with this cozy hot cocoa favor. These are popular for Christmas, but why wait? They’re perfect for Thanksgiving too. This simple gift is a sweet way to let someone know you’re thankful for them. I filled mine with homemade cocoa mix, but specialty teas or mulling spices for cider would be great too.
Materials + Tools
Homemade Cocoa Mix (download recipe HERE) or purchase readymade

Festive Ribbon
Craft Wire
Silk Flowers

Glue Gun (this Cool Shot is safe and simple for kids)
Instructions
- Fill tubes with 4 tbsp of cocoa mix (about ¾ full) leaving room for marshmallows on top. Add crushed peppermint if you like. Seal with the cork top.
- Get your decorative items ready. Cut a 10-12” length of ribbon for each bottle. This gives you extra length to work with; you’ll trim to exact size later. Snip short lengths of flowers for each bottle. Tip: If you trim away bits close to the stem, it will be easier to tuck them into the ribbon.
- Now you’re ready to assemble. If you’re adding a charm, thread it on a length of craft wire, position it on the bottle and twist-tie the wire in back. Snip off loose ends of wire.
- Tie ribbon on the bottle to cover the wire, and tuck flowers into the ribbon. Add a small dot of hot glue to set it in place. If you like, you can add a small dot on the lengths of ribbon to make them look like curls on the bottle. Or just leave them straight, your choice!
