Crayon Holder
I am tired of the old ripped box that dumps all the crayons out whenever I pick it up! This is a simple inexpensive way to store and carry crayons. It is so fun and easy to make, the kids can help, too. Get creative with the ribbon and felt colors, and your child will love their new personalized crayon holder.
Needed Material
- Felt (any color)
- Ribbon
- Fabric Shears
- A box of crayons
Instructions
- Take a 9″ by 12″ piece of felt and fold it nearly three-quarters of the way length-wise.
- Sew the sides together to create a pocket.
- Stitch the bottom.
- Place a crayon inside the fold on the left side at the end.
- Place a pin next to the crayon and sew along the side of pin (this creates the little pockets for each individual crayon).
- Repeat until you reach the other end.
- Stitch the ribbon in the middle of the back of your felt crayon holder (to tie the holder closed after you have rolled it up for storage).

Brittany,
This is such a cute idea! I think I will try doing this for my daughters but changing the direction of the felt, to make a pen/pencil holder. This would be a cute idea with your other ideas with the pencil covers and the notebooks (a complete stationary set). Great gift ideas!!! Thanks for the inspiration. Blessings!!
