Charmed Leather Bracelet
When we saw how cute these bracelets are, we couldn’t pick just one! Three stylish bracelets, super easy and inexpensive to make. We give you the basics and you give it the flair. Make it a fun and personalized gift for someone you love.
Charmed Leather Bracelet
This little beauty has charm! Select one (or more) sliding charms and add a cute magnetic clasp. This can be as simple or crazy as you like. Show your personality with your jewelry!
Supplies:
One piece of rounded 1/2-inch leather, cut to desired length
Charms (as many as you like)
Magnetic Clasp
Euro Tool Super New Glue (stronger than regular super glue)
Scissors
(I purchased supplies from a local jewelry craft shop; also check out Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, or online.)
Instructions:
- Measure the leather around your wrist and cut to desired length.
- Slide your charm onto the leather. I used one, but add as many as you like. (Add a small dot of glue on the underside of the charm if you don’t want it to slide.)
- Put a small dot of glue into the open end of the magnetic clasp and slide one end of the leather into it. Gently press it together for a few seconds to let it set. Repeat for the other end. Be sure you have both parts of the magnetic clasp facing the correct way before gluing! Let it dry overnight.
Loop It Up!
Why not try something a little out of the box with this half metal, half leather bracelet? Wear this by itself or mix it with other casual pieces.
Supplies:
Rounded Leather
Half-hook Metal Piece with Knob
Small Double-Barrel Slider (To lace the leather through)
Instructions:
- Measure leather around your wrist and DOUBLE the length before you cut it. Make sure the ends are blunt cut (not at an angle).
- Lace both ends of the leather through the double-barrel slider. Slide the metal along your doubled leather until it forms a half-inch loop.
- Take the half-hook metal piece and put a few drops of glue in the open end. Tuck the open ended pieces of leather into the open end; gently press together for a few seconds to let it set. Let it dry overnight.
That’s A Wrap!
This is a fun and casual piece that is so easy to make. Choose leather in various colors and you can find all styles of magnetic clasps. Have fun and be creative!
Supplies:
Flat Leather, 18-20 inches in length
Magnetic Clasp
Instructions:
- To measure, wrap the leather around your wrist as many times as you like (I did it four times) and cut.
- Put a small dot of glue into one end of the magnetic clasp and tuck the leather strip in and gently press together for a few seconds to let it set.
- Repeat for the other end. Be sure you have both parts of the magnetic clasp facing the correct way before gluing! Let it dry overnight.

Hi Jutta, Michael's carries jewelry crafting supplies if you have one locally. Otherwise, you can find supplies online. Hobby Lobby or Amazon (search "jewelery crafting supplies") would be a good place to start. Happy creating!
