Cardboard Letter
I came across these cardboard letters at my local paper store. They were all of two dollars, so I decided to scoop some up. You can also find these letter cutouts at your local craft store. I am in the middle of changing my girls’ room and this is an affordable way to make something darling for their walls. They would also be a sweet way to personalize a party or shower.
What you need:
- Glue
- Cardboard letter
- Strips of paper
- Ribbon
- Mod Podge (optional)
Directions:
- Get the paper you have chosen and start tearing. You will need small and large pieces to fit on your letter, so any shape and size works. Once you have done that, you can start glueing the torn pieces onto the letter. Put it together like a puzzle, until you can’t see the cardboard anymore.
- Once you have done that, you can decide if you like it as it is or if you want to do this next step. The Mod Podge will make it all lie flatter and will hold it in place, but it will also give it a little shine, so it’s your choice.
- If you choose to use Mod Podge, get a sponge brush and brush the whole letter and let it dry.
- After it is dry, you can attach the ribbon to the back. A hot glue gun works well, but if you don’t have one, just use what you have. Once you have glued it on, you can cover it with some small strips of paper.

I am going to customize this craft for my good friend who wants so badly to visit New York...so I'll look for NY/Big Apple icons! She's going to love it!!!
