It’s a great quick dinner using ingredients you have on hand! This veers a bit away from the normal barbecue chicken pizza. The apples give it great flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 store-bought pizza shell
  • 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups of chopped cooked chicken (I sauté in olive oil, sea salt, and garlic.)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped red onion (optional)
  • 1 cup of chopped granny smith apple
  • 1 cup of fresh mozzarella cheese or fresh goat cheese

Layer all ingredients in the above order. Cook in a preheated oven at 450 F for 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil or cilantro (optional).

You can substitute Canadian bacon for the chicken.
