Right at 36:27, a light bulb went off.
I got sick with something Dr's were unable to diagnose, but in the process, I lost my identity... my shape went from very-pleasing to overly-plump.
So I dove into my kids, then my oldest rebelled, making me questions my identity in motherhood.
I found myself not going anywhere without my handsome husband, like a validation to my faltering identity. But I came to know he was nurturing a relationship outside our marriage...So much for my identity as a wife.
Well, at least my nice car would....um, well, the paint got ruined & I didn't have enough money to repair, so here I sit, humble. Humble in Christ! Now I know if someone chooses not to talk to me because of how I look, I am better off if they move on. Those who now strike up a friendship with me do so because they are a genuinely nice person. It's like x-ray goggles to the heart :)
I am excited to put her biblical principals into action to try to make my body a more hospitable host for the Holy Spirit so that I may be able to shine His light.

Like all of us, you are looking for that somthing that you are perfect at. Prefect shape, motherhood, husband, car. They don't work. You'll aways fail. That's why we need Christ.
You say that you are humble in Christ. That's what we need because then we know that it is Christ, Him working in us. I have dieted and dieted and I am done with it! I'm going to eat right, exercise, and most of all I'm going to focus on Him. With His strength I can do it. By "it" I mean putting down my idol of wanting the perfect body and the perfect life, I just want Him.
